When do pitchers & catchers report?
Regarding the beer, it's a Terrapin Rye Pale Ale. It comes from my college town of Athens, GA. Here's a quick review from their website (www.terrapinbeer.com):
By using an exact amount of rye, a grain seldom found in other micro brewed beers, the Rye Pale Ale acquires its signature taste. Made with five varieties of hops and a generous amount of specialty malts, it offers a complex flavor and aroma that is both aggressive and well balanced – a rare find among beers.
The Terrapin Rye Pale Ale was released in Athens, GA in April of 2002 at the Classic City Brew Fest. Six months later this beer which was sold only in Athens was awarded the American Pale Ale Gold Medal at the 2002 Great American Beer Festival, the most prestigious competition in North America. We hope you will agree with our peers in the brewing industry that this is truly one of the best pale ales in the country.
ABV: 5.5%
IBU’s: 35
O.G.: 13.3
Malt: 2-Row Pale, Munich, Malted Rye, Victory Malt, Honey Malt
Hops: Magnum, Fuggle, East Kent Golding, Amarillo (Dry Hop)
Food: This beer cries out for spicy foods to match it’s hoppy flavors…jerk chicken to shrimp and grits.

Back to Athens
It was great to be back in Athens for gameday. The Dawgs beat the Ragin' Cajuns to open the season and the weather was excellent. I would say perfect, if it had been about 10 degrees cooler in the sun, otherwise, it was nice to be back at Sanford Stadium. Since it was a 12:30 start, we didn't do any tailgating, but we were able to make it to our seats for the kickoff (the above pic is after the first UGA touchdown) and then moved to some seats in the shade for the rest of the game.
I can't wait to get back to good old Athens in two weeks for the Arkansas game, which should be an exciting one to watch. Lastly, we ended the day in Athens with a post-game meal at Five Star Day Cafe in downtown Athens (www.fivestardaycafe.com).

Let the Bowl season begin!
I wonder what the BCS matchups would look like if McCoy had run out the clock? At the very least, the current BCS system keeps college football in the limelight in the month of December.
Lastly, MLB Network is awesome! I can't get enough of the replays from the 80's. Great uniforms! Why did most road team wear blue?? I would love for the Braves to wear their 80's road unis and have Dale Murphy throw out the first pitch.
